With the comedian Steven Colbert winning the write-in contest to name the new space station module, NASA should really take notice. The vast majority of the public sees NASA as a bloated agency that wastes money on large useless projects. Some believe the Apollo moon landings were faked. How can you blame them? The space shuttle, the space station, now the new Apollo 2.0. Billions continue to be wasted while other, less costly but more effective projects continue to get sidelined. One can only hope the new NASA administrator will significantly change the way NASA does 'business' and in the end change the joking attitude of the public to one of admiration, confidence, and awe.
